The Periods Editor contains 10 different fields to
control the periods in a portfolio.
Some of the key fields include:
Cash Inflows
This is the cash inflow or portfolio investment for
each period.
Cash Outflows
This is the cash outflow or portfolio expenditure for
each period.
Inflation Rates
This is the inflation rate for each period. The inflation rate may be used for
adjusting cash flows in future periods and as a present value discount factor.
Percentage Flow
This is a percentage based on the percentage type to
create cash inflows or outflows for each period.
Percentage Type
This is the basis for percentage flows such as market
value or net income. For example,
you can create a spending stream of 5% of market value in each period.
